Default Losing 1 quart of oil every 1200 Miles!!!

I bought a '01 S2000 with 2600 miles on it. I found out
15000 miles later it was losing oil. I brought it in to the
Dealership could not find anything wrong and told me Honda says losing 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles is acceptable. As a consumer, I say it is not. There has to be something wrong with the engine. Does anyone know what I can do stop this or
what my rights may be as a consumer.

I have 6000 miles on my '02 and have not burned a drop to date. They say it will burn some on break in, but I didn't and I would think that it would be well broken in after 17,600 miles. Do you VTEC a lot?

I have '01, I broke it in "by the book" and never VETC'd till after 1,000 miles, etc. I have 9,000 miles on it now. It uses one quart every 1,700 miles. I VETC a lot - afterall its the reason you buy a car like this. Frankly, I'm not worried; but, I like to see the use tapper off like everyone suggests it will.

I had a '02 that burned 1 quart for every 1500 miles up till 7500 miles then it burned a lot slower. So, I poured 5 quarts in her up till 7500 miles And yes, I broke her in properly

Never burned oil or haven't noticed any loss since getting car in May. Already has 8500 miles on it. Went though two oil changes already . At 2000 miles then again at 6000 miles.

23k miles, 2001. broke it in correctly, but i was burning 1 qt every 1250 miles. i switched to synthetic at my last oil changed and burned 0.4 qts in 300 miles waiting to see if it will continue at this rate for synthetic as well. if that keeps up i am taking it to the dealer and have them figure out why i have such a high burn rate.

I have a '00 and had the oil changed at about 16k. Looked yesterday at 19k and needed to add a quart. I'm using Mobil 1 Synthetic.

MY 01 with 9970 miles. Burned 1qt every 1500 miles until around 7500. Used Mobile 1 synthetic at 8500 and she hasn't burned a drop since.

I wouldn't worry about it. Some engines will burn oil fster and longer than others. Wait 'till 15,000 miles before getting concerned.
