so heres the situation, i was smoking a cig when i had to suddenly steer to avoid hitting a elderly lady that made a really late right turn, so anyways, i look at my door panel and there i see a hole melted into the vinyl, it's really little, about the size of a cell phone button, i get frustrated just looking at it since i see it all the time when i look at my side view mirror, how can i fix this, i looked up some repair kits but i heard they dont do to good, i was thinking of buying used drivers side door panel, but i was only able to find an all black one. My question is if the leather inserts are interchangeable, i found a black one for sale but i'm not sure if the inserts can be swapped? can anyone help me out?

Just make sure the panel for sale is an 04 or later.

 

wait, is the black part burned, or the tan leather insert burned? if its the black part (sill) then yeah, make sure u get 04+. I think the leather inserts are all the same.

If you're good at fabrication, u can cut holes out for the tweeters in an 00-01 door sill. 02-03 wont fit, as the tweeter holes are too big for 04 tweeter mounts.

its on the sill, thanks for all the info, im going to try this guy down from my work that does interior work he is charging me 25 bucks so lets see how it turns out, if im still not satisfied im going to buy the panel assembly, and i know, cig , i figure it was karma for saying that i was going to quit for new years but im still smoking, i know....but im still trying to quit....gonna buy some patches today, thanks again for all the help to anyone who gave me a reply
