Default missing oil jet bolts

Well i just got my oil jet bolts in the mail today. I open it up only to find that 2 of the blots were missing. I was planning on doing the install this weekend since I have to take the blower off anyway. Thought I could hit 2 birds with 1 stone doing oil changes. I guess that isn't going to happen though. On the plus side, I bought them from the hardtop guy so I gave Jeff a call and he said he would send me the missing blots. It is really nice that he would do that because most companies would probably just make you buy 4 more bolts from them. I am sure it was a USPS issue and not him forgetting to put the bolts in. The package wasn't open but there wasn't any tape sealing the box.

Anyway I just wanted to post to give props to Jeff. Also to warn people not to use the post office. Not only is the post office horribly slow, but this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I have had numerous boxes come that are barley in one piece. And when I got my blower in the mail via USPS the box was filled with holes and some of the blots were missing. Anyway just venting my anger. Really wanted to get that oil pan off memorial weekend. I have a dyno appointment next week.

No offense, but I think you're being unreasonably critical of the USPS. They provide a great service and they don't charge you an arm and a leg like UPS, Fedex, and DHL tend to do. It may just come down to people who don't package things properly.

I've toured some of their processing facilities and most of the stuff is automated. If something isn't sealed properly or isn't packed properly, there's not much you can do. Protip: you can never over-package or over-seal your shipments, but you can under-seal or under-package them. Even UPS and Fedex have horror stories.

Yeah I have shipped thousands of items USPS with practically no issues. Faster shipping time too unless you select UPS next day or something.
Sucks they weren't on there though. Glad to hear he is sending you the missing ones!

USPS>UPS>Fed-Ex I love USPS. They ship stuff from Cali to NC in 2-3 days for cheaper than UPS or Fed-Ex ground shipping and those both take 5-6 days. If the package wasnt packaged properly that would be the senders fault not the delivery services fault. Sure all of the above may be guilty of ruff handling the packages but if the products are bubble wrapped and protected before boxing them up with a quality box and quality shipping tape then it should be no problem.

I'd blame Jeff , USPS is great, Ive never had an issue with them on hundreds of parts. The key is definitely good packaging and tape on the box certainly helps
