Moisture in headlight
 

So we have been getting alot of abnormal rain around here which has resulted in alot of moisture build up in my pass. headlight and i was just wondering if there was any way to get the moisture out and prevent it from happening again?

Pull the bulb and let it dry out. Don't go too long with water in there...it will pool down at the ballast and cause it to corrode and blow.

Alot of people may not like this solution but I think it will work, when I use to own an integra over on their forums some people drilled a small hole on the bottom of the hosing allowing water to get out and air tor dry but no water to get it, cause how will water climb upwards? you can try that.

i dont like the idea of drilling holes in the very expensive headlights...

take the headlights out and reseal them....the reason you get the water in the firs place is because there is a small crack somewhere in the area where two plastics meet.

so then basicly i take the head light out and smear silicone all around were the lense meets the back and it will solve my problem?

I used the soldering iron and went around the whole lens and "re welded" it
Then I dried the moisture out, after that I did not have any problems

When I got moisture in my headlights I also resealed them. Did it a different way though. I removed them and baked them to remove all of the old sealant then resealed it with high temp silicone. Solved my problems but was kinda difficult, especially when the headlight was burning hot.

Taking apart and resealing the headlights is a pain in the neck. I bought a used housing from a local junk yard and it has been perfect--only $100. Resealing is cheaper, but honestly, if you don't do it right it will look terrible.
