Mugen Header & Exhaust Question

Mugen Header & Exhaust Question
Can someone tell me if both the Mugen header and exhaust straight from Japan will fit an usdm S2000 without modifications? For some reason I thought I read some where that either the header or exhaust piping was too long and needed to be cut to fit U.S. spec cars.

I don't have any experience with this particular exhaust but I couldn't imagine there being any difference....dimensionally the cars are the same as well as the orientation of the engine/exhaust. I couldn't see there being a difference as plenty of other imported exhausts and headers fit. But I could be very wrong.

I thought it had something to do with the cat or something. That it was different so the pipe had to be cut and you had to buy it from King Motorsports if you wanted it modified . Maybe that was my H22 Prelude SH that had that issue.

Never heard of any fitment issues with the Mugen parts. There is 1 change to the S2000 exhaust fitment and it came in the DBW cars. The floor on the 06+ cars is slightly different and some exhausts can sit close to the metal but again most don't have an issue. Headers are interchangeable though they will specific if they are for the F20 or F22 (AP1 or AP2). Mugen makes an ap1 and ap2 version of their exhaust but I believe the mufflers are the major difference between the 2 exhausts.

I have a Mugen AP1 header and catback with EVS high flow cat. No fitment issues on my US AP1
