Unhappy MUZ Trunk Lid Saddle Bags?

Maybe we can have a discussion about MUZ trunk Lid saddle Bags?

I listed one for sale a year or two ago. I sold it for around $135. there were others making a similar product IIRC. They're out there but they weren't that popular.

Good luck in your search.

I am also interested in the "similar" product, especially if the quality is on par. Let's talk about your sources, please.

They shouldn't be that hard to make... its just plexiglass and some pockets with s2000 embroidered...you could probably do it yourself for about $100 bucks..

$100, maybe. But the time and effort will be $$$$.

Did Rick's have an equivalent?

Not really, you can find the s2000 Emboidery files online.

Buy Three Bags off Amazon, sew on dual lock velcro. Embroider the bags at a local shop. Pick up Headliner Foam fabric from your local fabric store - likely the same place you get the embroidery done. Buy a 4'x 2' piece of Lexan. Score it, and make 4 breaks to make the shape of the saddle holder. Drill 2 holes 6" of center on each side, this is where zipties go through the lexan and trunk frame.

Wrap the cut lexan in headliner foam, poke a hole in the fabric where the zipties pass through. Apply the bags. Add dual lock velcro to the trunk and back side of the lexan. feed zipties through the trunk frame, and press on the saddle bag assembly feeding the zipties through.

Probably do it in a couple hours. If you look at how the saddle is made, its quite easy to replicate

look at this gallery to understand its construction

Does anyone on here have one that they could take measurements from? I sure would like to buy an original one, if I could find one, yet making one or contracting out this work would need a pattern of the materials, size of bags, plastic backing (?), where to score it, etc.
