My 2004 S2000
In November of 2003 I purchased my car, drove it out of the showroom doors, it has 75 miles on it, the dealer had two cars. Back then most dealers were still putting a $5,000 additional charge on these cars and they rarely got more than a couple at a time. I was very happy with my deal, althought if I could have had red I would have.
I drove a 2001 and a 2003 AP1 and loved them moth. The AP2 was brand new and I took a chance. Sebring Silver with read and black interior.I bought the car without driving it!
I have driven 62,000 miles and been the only owner, I crashed it once, submarined under a large SUV and took out the front light, hood, left fender and some under the hood stuff, no bumper or frame damage, while at the body shop the car was vandalized....I ended up with a car repainted, new top and top frame, and my deductible waived, it took 2 months to sort out. I ended up having to pay for the air pump @ 50% as a warranty replacement, which may have been a partial damage due to the accident and not a defect.
I have had no defects, no returns to the dealer other than the air pump and a couple of fluid changes and a valve adjustment. I have done the most recent valve adjustment, complete front brakes, and most oil services.I did the modfry top strap fix and added rear speakers and disconnected the door chime, have one size wider front tires like the CR, michelein pilot sports.
I love this car, I have owned 24 cars to date and this one is the one I have kept the longest by choice. The longest trip I have taken was 600 miles round trip, several times. My average mpg in every day mix driving is 21-23 and my trip mileage is 28-31. I use only 91 octane and normal oil 10/30 wt chevron purchased at costco. I change fluids and filters regularly @ about 6months or 4,000 miles. My car has never used any oil that I can detect on the dip stick.
I love my car and enjoy driving it. I have owned two mustang gt convertibles, a 911SC, a 1974 914 2.0, and two miatas. This is what I drive by choice over any of these cars. Someday perhaps a 911 cab or boxster S, but not now, I enjoy my S2000 way to much.

I love mine too. Bought a 2005 brand new (14 miles) and sold it last October. Missed it soooooo much I immediately started searching for an AP1. Got a 2001 with 103k miles in pretty good shape for about $10k. Dumped a little cash and work into it and it's getting a lot better. I plan to keep this one a while...
I'm loving these ownership stories, seen several lately.
I completely agree that the s2000 is one of the greatest cars to drive.
I'm always interested in different vehicles, some of which I have bought and sold already while owning the s2000, but the s2000 is never to be replaced. Even if I can acquire an nsx or build up some amazing hot rods in the future, s2k stays.
My fiance is fully aware that there will be no circumstance in which the s2k can be sold, to the point that if she ever tried to pull that crap on me I will put the title in my sisters name, divorce, and blaze down the road in a storm of vtec fury. The s2k is the only thing that I will never compromise with in our relationship, and I don't think that is too much to ask. I'm not going to be one of of those pushover "men." Just as I would never ask her to sell the rock on her finger, the s2k is my rock.

Good read! I'm at 108k and I had that idea of selling it since I picked up a daily a few weeks ago and I rarely drive the S now (been like 1-2 months). Just yesterday I drove it again and man, I found out why everyone says it puts a smile on your face. I was smiling and giggling the whole 5 mile drive.
