Buy a filter that was actually designed to use with the car. The K&N one is perfect.

Spending $50 on a filter that doesn't even fit is retarded. Not to mention filters don't really give that much power gain at all.

how about the lid? If you leave it like that, I doubt it will losing HP instead. Beside, when you put the lid back on like OEM look, I doubt this huge air filter will block the air flow tunnel underneath the lid, which is not a good idea either.
If you really want to upgrade the performance and keep the OEM look at the same time, I recommend you just buy K&N 2005 HONDA S2000 2.2L L4 F/I - All, P/N# E-2435.

side not matter, but efficiency & air temperature does!
I had to remove the tunnel.

I will tell you my experience with a K&N filter and a foam filter. 1, the K&N I had on my turbo diesel I ran for 10k, when I took it off to clean it to my suprise the entire intake tract was lined with a film of dust, switched to foam, same thing not as bad though but upon oil analasys the silicon levels were extremely high. This is why I will not use either of the two. IMHO 2 or 3 HP do not justify the use of those.

DieselPilot, what was the result of your intake experiment? I recall a few months ago you were looking at production possibilities of a new "snorkel" going to the fender well, and I think I see a portion of it in your photo. Did they ever make production? Any noticable gains in your experience?
