I'll put my exhaust on tommarow (Monday) at work. I've got my wrench and rachet...can't wait. So far it looks like it made the trip from Japan damage free. I'll post the results tomarrow.
You guys want to talk about parts for the "S", geez Hyper-Rev has everything from shift knobs to complete engines. Only problem is most of it is in Japanese. They have some nice cutaway pics and disassembled engine pics for the gearheads. Well worth the $35.00 from MG Racing. |
Welly, welly!
I installed the exhaust today. It is pretty easy, only took about 30 minutes. Your time will depend on the amount of violence directed against the old exhaust. I suggest using some silicone lubricant on the rubber hangers and a nice prybar. Use some anti-seize on the new bolts it you want to be able to remove it someday. I wrapped up the original exhaust just in case... I was a thinking I was about to be disappointed when I opened the boxes. The exhaust tips looked too big (for my tastes) but once I put it together it looked fine. I think the exhaust note is very good, not very loud but more throaty then stock. It's been raining all day (imagine that), so I've only driven the car a short distance. I can't give you a seat of the pants dyno report yet without risking a Banannie. |
