My HKS install so easy
#1
Easy isn't the word for it.
I started at 7:00 and was done washing my hands at 8:05. Toooooooo cooooooool
If your afraid to attempt it, dont be. Its a piece of cake.
This is how it works.
Tools: 14 MM open end and socket, 11 mm socket. Thats all.
I first unscrewed the pipe from the cat. converted. Three screws, no problems and my car is a year old. Just not driven in rain or snow.
The hardest part is getting the support off the rubber holders.
First support was at the front near cat. conv.
After that is off real easy, put some support under the Cat. so it doesn't hang there putting presure on the upper end.
Next tackel the rear two mufflers from there rubber support. Not to bad.
Next unscrew the support bar that holds the exhaust from falling.
Remove old heavy exhaust.
I did all this alone. After this is when a friend came over. It would of helped having a hand with the rubber supports. But I managed.
The first piece back on was the piece connected to the cat. conver. Three screws and a gasket. And push onto the rubber support.
Then I put the mufflers on there rubber suports.
Next the crossover gets bolted on. Two screws.
Then connect the mufflers to the crossover. Two screws each and a gasket.
Then I put on the crossbar.
Tighten from the front back to the muffler. I just tighten what I though was tight enough. Couldn't read Japanese, so I guessed.
Thats it, I then just cleaned up and drove it off my small ramps.
Took it for a quick spin. Not enough to notice any difference yet.
But I got to drive Greg S car with the same hks. Only a little more HP. But the sound is all good. Even better after use.
Piece of cake. If I had help in the beginning I could of done it in about 45 minutes.
Good luck and have fun for those of you yet to do it. Feel good about it and do it yourself.

Roceye, yes you are right. It was a 10 mm.
And I am sure the torque settings where listed, but in Japanese. So I just tighten with a 3/8 driver instead of an 1/2.
