Oh well it's not Roxanne, but it's the thought that counts. My staff bought it for my Christmas present. It's pretty cool though. The steering works, the doors, hood and trunk open, tires turn, suspension works. I have it on my desk, further adding to my S2K obsessive behavior. DOH, I'm on this forum while at work again.

Insomniak 12-15-2000 12:30 PM

hehe, same thing here. got a silver/red and black/black Maisto.

I think I have gone crazy with collecting anything with an S2000 on it or so....

I have 8 models so far, a couple, which I put together.

I'm not that obsessive but I do have three models 2 Maisto red/black and 1 auto art silver/black and my office at work has only S posters and I have the Ko Chapman red/black print in my office at home. I almost forgot I also have this web site/message board I spend all my time on...hmmm do you think I have a problem?

My dealer (Morehead Honda, Newburgh, NY) presented me with a model of the car when I went to pick up the real one. He had seen my 3 year old when I test drove it and said that he bought it for him. I thought it was a nice touch.

I'm still waiting for my yellow 1:18 model to come that I ordered here: http://www.hondaracing.com/merchandise/mer...dise.html?set=5

My buddy just bought me a little silver wind up S2K, its pretty cool. Wind it up, watch it fly across the kitchen floor, and crash into the stove. Hehe.

Where else can I pick up an S2000 model, I saw some cheap one at the toy store for 5 bucks, but it looked like crap.

"Where else can I pick up an S2000 model"

We've got a couple choices at: http://www.honda-accessories.com/s2000.html

If you want a GREAT model :) of the S2000, get one from AutoArt. . .

I have two of the models. . .one in silverstone metallic (my original "fav" color and then one in black (which is the color of my S2K). . .they also make one in white but no RED :(. . .that's because all the AutoArt models for the S2K have red interior. . .

Trust me! The AutoArt's will range from $50 - 60, but it's worth it. . .the trunk actually has the feel of real carpet. . .IMPRESSIVE!

"The AutoArt's will range from $50 - 60"

We've got the AutoArt in silver, black or white for $39.00.

I was obviously GAFFED! :D They got me when I bought the car too!

After shipping and everything, I got it at right around $50. . .

I have a Maisto Silver / Red Japanese spec (six spoke wheels and navigation system on the dash) bought at Tesco's in the UK for 15.00 pounds ($22)). Also have a US spec black/black bought at Shopko for $11.99 (8.32 pounds).

You've got to love that price difference - that's the kind of thing that made me move across the pond in the first place.

Tesco's had loads: yellow / red / black and silver. (Think I even saw blue - not sure about that though). Just NOT the best color - which is white of course :)

I was anticipating the arrival of my model s2k when I received the other part of the order, an s2k t-shirt that I had ordered. I looked at the receipt and they had me marked down for a silver s2k. I called and explained that I ordered a yellow one and they said they only have it in silver, so I cancelled my order. So disregard the above link unless you want a silver one. Later.

Costco has them available at the Canadian locations for approx $16 CDN. I would imagine they are in the U.S. too?

Autoart makes a Spa Yellow. Anybody know if anyone in the states sells it yet?

TheBikeDr 12-20-2000 05:29 AM

Just be careful when you wax your model -- the wax tends to collect under the headlight and taillight covers. (am I OCD???)

1Y2KS2K 12-20-2000 05:59 AM

If you spend a lot of time searching the web you can get the AutoArt as low as $35. I found that out after I got stiffed for $59.

TAllen 12-21-2000 08:40 AM

"Autoart makes a Spa Yellow. Anybody know if anyone in the states sells it yet?"

We called our supplier and they said that the company didn't think the Spa Yellow was going to be a color from Honda this year so they didn't get the licensing in time to have the models available. Even though the catalog from them showed the yellow as the sample picture.

There is even a new "limited edition" AutoArt model in silver with all the accessories on it (not sure if it is the titanium or aluminum shift knob :) ) I don't know how many they have of them but they are each numbered on their display.

Trevor:

Keep us informed on the Autoart Spa Yellow if you don't mind. I have already picked up the 1/43 Ebbro RHD Spa Yellow from EWA. Thinks for the great service (I just bought a Titanium shift knob for my soon to be here Spa Yellow).

Maistro 1/18 American versions can be had at some Sam's Clubs for $9.98. :D
