I agree with you 100%.

The feeling you get the first day you go for a drive in the spring is my favourite, every year it reminds me of the first day I owned the car. Not to mention I would never, ever want to drive my S beside some of the IDIOTS that attempt to drive in the snow. I'm confident with my driving abilities in the snow, but my gosh some people should just stay home, so I'm glad I can plow through the snow in my shitter and not have a single care in the world.

I feel the OP. I put my car away at the beginning of November. The loss is mitigated by the fact I have two other cars to drive in the winter, both of which I love. First up is my CTS-V wagon which I drive in nice winter days. In inclement weather, I drive my new RLX Sport Hybrid. It looks conservative but with the proto-NSX drivetrain, it is extremely fast. VERY fun to drive.

I try not to buy cars I won't have fun in.

I grew up in Arizona and now live in Nebraska... I hate winter so much that it may end a marriage. I hate storing my cars... Life is short enough as-is.

This still pisses me off: http://wallethub.com/edu/best-worst-...taxpayer/2416/

I live in a state that offers very little and has the 3rd worst taxes in the country (only beat by NY and California). My parents own two homes in two different states, worth considerably more than my house here and I pay more property tax.

Interesting article. Too bad it uses an average instead of median but its still noteworthy. The thing that stuck in my throat in Minnesota was a 3% property tax versus 1% in California. I could not afford my house if it was taxed in Minnesota. Throw in the proximity to the geographic center of North America, absence of mountains (or hills) brutal salted winters, biting flies, mosquitoes, and lutefisk, I could not take it. The Sierras were made by God knowing someday there would be an S2000.

My storage entails leaving it for a couple of weeks when I am gone on a trip!
