Default For the naysayers regarging ULs 2004 Dynos.

From a bay area member.

As kit says this dyno isn't nearly as scientific as what UL does, but goes a step towards showing the TOV numbers aren't total BS as some seem to want to believe. Dyno at Dyno spot racing, who many of us in the bay area have used and the dyno has been very consistant.

I'm in love with my car either way, but who's ever going to turn down an extra 20 or so HP and Torque?

That's one more dyno, but it does little to dispell the other plots which show minimal or no gains.

Simply said, we need more data.

Very impressive.

off topic: Do the mods for the 2.0L engine fit the 2.2L engine? if so, maybe I'll be looking for an 04 @ my dealership.

Your version of science puzzles me. 3 dynos from 3 different operators. One of the 3 cases is low.

You are happy with the result when the 04 has a the same HP as a 03 and say it is conclusive, when the results contradict this you are unhappy and cry for more data.

More data from the 04.....indeed. But I bet if you had 5 or 6 dynos that say the same thing you would still only choose to believe what makes you sleep better at night.

You know.....I really don't care that much between the two gens of S2Ks, but enough is enough with the "need more info" line. Someone tests - results not believeable. Another someone tests independently of the previous - results not believeable. Now there's ANOTHER seemingly unbiased Dyno and....here we go again - results not believeable.

Will it be enough when the "doubting Thomas'" Dyno the car for themselves? Then the NEXT person will doubt it because they didn't do it themselves.

Steve C - I am not singling you out. It just that in EVERY one of these DYNO "truth" threads, someone has to pipe up with the same rhetoric.

So to those doubters, do the darn Dyno yourself! But DON'T post the results because the rest of the doubters will turn on you, too.

think you guys need to be a little more clear

1. does the 04 make more power than the 00-03

2. how much more

personally, i don't doubt that 04 probably makes more power, but am questioning the 26hp and the 18hp figures that have been quoted.

The funny part is that this engine is still breaking in, so it should generate 5-10 more HP when it is completely broken in.

I expected ttb not to believe the numbers as well as: secret ap1, and capilot7...."it(04) is a softened car"
