I'm looking for the install template used with the Factory CD Changer. If anyone has one please let me know. I would assume it was thrown away after the install but figured it was worth a try. If you do not know what I am talking about it is a paper template included in the attachment kit to mark the "cut outs" in the trunk. Thanks.

does the installation instructions on honda-accessories have the information you need?

Yeah, I have printed out the install instructions. They have a parts list and instructions showing a template that is layed on the floor panel of the trunk. It basically shows you were to make the cuts for the attatchment hardware. Unfortunatley, the guy I bought the changer from no longer has the template :(

I may still have my template. I'll check when I get home tonight.

I put in an Alpine changer (CHM-S620) which about he same as the factory unit. With a $30 adapter plugged into the stock radio. Needed no additional mounting brackets. Simply put sheet metal screws through the carpet and into the bottom of the trunk. Saves lot's of $$$.

Clovis, I checked and I still do have my template. Leave me a private message or e-mail me with your address and I'll trace my template and send you the copy.

The paper is pretty thick, I'll have to see if I have some brown wrapping paper to trace it on. If I do it on thin paper, it's going to be much more likely to rip or tear while your tracing the cutout holes.

TFOTA, you have mail. Thanks

RHES2K, Where did you get to adapter for $30?
The lowest price I could find is $70.

Hey another South Bay STOOK! The adapter to connect the Alpine CD changer to the stock head unit was purchased at Circuit City Road Shop (PCH and Crenshaw). The package is labeled "Peripheral Interface Components - Honil '98 Honda Accord CD Interface by Peripheral" It cost $39.96 (okay I estimated wrong!) Email me if you want more info.
