Default Need Help! Work Wheels...

Hey guys, man I feel so bad right now...

I took off my Works Wheels today and since they were little dirty, I used one of those wheel cleaners and didn't think second about it...

To my surprise, I've noticed that outer edge of the wheels(chrome like finishes) has all of these nasty residues and I can't get them off... Used wax, chrome polish, ect... but none of them worked... NOOOOO~

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I COULD TRY????

Any response would GREATELY appreciated!

probably used an incompatible cleaner.. well not probably.. you did. I don't know if Works are polished or chrome.. (I'm going with polished)??? maybe you could hit them with a buffer and wool pad and then foam after words using the proper polish compound..

a good buff should work, as this residue is just sitting on the surface

Sand blast them and get them powdercoated...just an option.

the lips on work wheels are clearcoated so you have to be careful on the cleaners you use for it...

Ahhh... I know... learning it the hard way... NEVER EVER WILL USE SPRAY-ON WHEEL CLEANER AGAIN~ It should be safe on other OEM wheels, right?

What Works do you have? I have a set on my car that have a chrome lip and I do use spray cleaners. I also keep a coat of wax on the lips which should keep debris from coming in contact with the surface. When using spray on cleaners, it's hard to make any judgment as to which brand works the best but I have settled on Dupont.s Teflon spay cleaner.
I like the thought that Teflon may be preventing some of the crud from resting on the surface.
