Default So I really want a factory lip...

.....but i'm afraid i'm going to scratch the h#ll out of it! Whenever i park in my S2K, i inevitably scrape the factory nose on those concrete parking curbs. Also, my car is NOT lowered.

People with lips: How do you do it?? What are your parking 'secrets'?

Help me conquer this fear!

Learn not to pull up so far. It's not like our cars need the extra length space. Too bad the previous owner of mine wasn't aware of this.

1. Your hood is twice as long as you think.

2. Remember: your sitting very near the rear wheels and there isn't much car behind you.

3. When you feel like your halfway into a spot, lift the parking brake and remove the key from the ignition.

I'm serious.
Good luck!

Yes, but our hoods are so looong. It affects my parking depth perception.

i agree with the above from robert....im lowered 1.5" and i just always tell myself if im in the lines, thats fine....i never try to pull up far because i know it is not worth parking neatly for a new bumper...

No matter how perfect you try to park, inevitably you will scrape the lip. I've been very meticulous but I'm also very anal about parking perfectly. So yea, I get close. A few times I've gotten too close. Now I have scratches.
