luckily for this guy there are plenty of fools in the s2k market

honestly though my gut says 7500-8k is realistic if its in the decent shape he says its in

The cars are made to be driven. Just depends on what you expect to get for it after all that winter driving. Value only counts if you want to sell it.

This car is for two types of people. 1. The 18-22 year old who loves s2000s & not thinking about resale. 2. The buyer with $$$...the one who has plans for the car, make it a project car. Whether it be boosting it, or making it a track car. It's not a perfect car by any stretch but it's still an s2000 with some key parts replaced & still provides all the fun any other s2000. I don't expect $10-$25k...that is absurd.

I don't know. It was already under rebuilt status when I purchased it. I took it to a reputable shop & we had it on the lift to ensure no frame damage. Apparently they have a checklist & it passed. I then moved to PA which meant i needed to get a rebuilt PA title & it passed no problem.

My theory is they went spinning off the road, damaged a lot of body work & maybe some wheel components. You would never know, as I said I've put 135k miles with no ieeus but normal wrar

I had an 01 that got totalled back in 2010 because i got into an accident with minimal body damage but due to angle of impact my airbags deployed. the value of the car was 12.5k according to the insurance guide at the the time so they totalled it once it reached 9500 in damage. If i remember right the airbags and sensors alone with labor were over 6000. It was very easy to total out ap1s with anything causing airbag deployement while they were still being made and even a few years after because they were still plentiful.
