Default Need some advice

On deciding on what clutch I should get. I've read through most of the searches, but couldnt come up with too much. Basically, I want a new clutch. I do not plan to go F/I in the near future. So I just want a street clutch. I was looking at the ACT Puck 4, but I heard that the clutch has harsh engagment. I want a clutch that grabs hard, but not so hard that your gonna pull your muscle. Also, i'm looking at a clutch in the 500-600 price range. I'm a poor college student. If you could also send me a link to a website as to where I can buy the clutch, i'd appreciate it. Thanks

I like the ACT Street Clutch kit. Falls right into your price range too. Bulletproof, a site sponsor, carries it.

If you are looking for just a street clutch and dont need tremendous holding power, stay away from any type of puck set up. You will have to launch the hell out of it to get it moving. There isn't much slippage with a 4 puck. I have always used ACT clutches, though not yet on the S. I have had nothing but sucess with them and wouldnt hesitate to recomend them. Good luck.

Does anyone know Toda or ORC clutches are good? How about prices for the whole kit with clutch and flywheel. Do you suggest the clutches above or american made clutches like ACT/Clutch Master?

Wow, its been a long time since i've posted that. I've been through 3 cars, graduated college, and still on s2ki!

I think at that point, I purchased an exedy clutch kit and was immensely to hard for daily driving.

I purchashed the clutch kit setup from hardtopguy.com and was very satisfied

I went 4 puck sprung disc with HD PP...

Grabbed hard, but it blew my 2nd gear.

I'm now on a AP2 tranny, ACT HD PP and OEM disc...grabs hard and easier to drive...

That damn 4 puck cost me A LOT of money.
