Need torque specs for V-TEC solenoid
Can someone with a Helms manual please give me the torque specs for the 3 10mm bolts that hold the V-TEC solenoid together. My stupid cousin convinced me that a "softer" spring will make the V-TEC hit harder and earlier. Well. . . it didn't. I now returned the stock spring in place and would like the bolts to be on spec. By the way, I lost a little bit of oil when he opened the solenoid. Would this oil be replenished when I V-TEC? Thanks !
Regards,
Cliff

12 N-m (8.7 lbf-ft). Oil will refresh...just drive her slow until it warms up a bit.
By the way this is the same torque used for the other three bolts that hold the solenoid to block .
Utah
Ref: Helm 6-9

Make certain the O-ring was not damaged in any way or you might want to replace the seal. Failure of this seal caused me some grief (and oil loss) back in '00.

Thanks for the info guys . Since I'm on the subject of torque specs . . . what is the torque spec for the bolts that hold down the ignition coil. I once snapped a bolt there and luckily I threaded it out. Thanks!
