The overall ratios (gear x final x reduction) quoted jibe with what he is saying. They are shorter than the current car's gears. Also, if you assume tire diameter will be about the same, the new ratios would run out right around 60mph in 2nd gear if it redlines around 8400rpm. Gee, sounds about right for looking good in a 0-60mph test. Unless the new car ends up significantly heavier, it sure looks like it will be faster. Longer 6th should make for better highway cruising.

Thanks for the info, there should be some photos coming as it is time to think about ordering very soon. I will be interested to see what comes of all of this...I am sure it will still be a S2000 and Honda in every way, (why mess up a good thing), just more of the same old great thing, just different.
