SPG is standard industry abbreviation for Spring.
SPG refinement likely means that spring rates have been lowered to balance the bigger wheels and lower profile tires. It should ensure driveability and roadholding remain strong for less than ideal roads, and there is no bump steer associated with tuner cars in mid corner.

Knowing what you do about your '00 - '03s would you guys wait a couple of months for a 2004 and likely a higher price or get a new 2003 this week for under $31k before taxes?

Reefewalker - I'm new to the forum and what a quandary I'm already in. I've been lurking for a few months and was expecting to pickup a 2003 Silverstone this week, but now I wonder if I should wait a few months for the '04.
The '04 is gonna be top dollar, at least for a year. Dealers were marking up cars $8K above the $32K sticker..........and I can't see the new S being much different as far as price goes.

I'd really be interested in that 6th gear if it is a serious reduction in rpm's. Then I'd feel a little better about getting the 4.77 FD.
I don't know about you guys but I'm happy with the torque of the S2k and I love the 9k redline. A lot of people ask what it redlines at and are amazed it's 9K. It's nice that Honda has softened the S2k so they can sell more, but I'm happy with the car it is. But then again I doubt I can keep my car stock much longer.

Uggghhhh,
Why are they going to a dual mass flywheel? Only reason I can think of is that the 2.2l engine is not as smooth as the current F20C and they therefore need to go to a dual mass flywheel in order to dampen out low-rpm vibration.
Hmmmmmm.
Well, I'm looking forward to seeing the damn thing already . . .
