I have been amazed at the number of wrecks and crashes lately...
It's good that nothing more than a buised ego has been the worst of the damage...but I am wondering, what's the deal with all the wrecks lately!?
One hypothesis: Is it because of the cooling weather and people aren't getting the tires up to temp, doing something borderline and pushing over the edge and wrecking?!
Thoughts!?
Keep it safe out there...!

I think the cold weather has something to do with it for sure. I'm guilty of a fishtail 180 coming out of a parking lot at 11:30pm last week ended up backwards on the wrong side on the road, damn tires were ice cold and I just had a heavy foot(as always). It was a ghost town where i was so all was fine but if it would have happened somewhere else it could have been ugly... I'll be paying more attention to tire temp from now on....

Cold is a real problem with sticky high-performance tires like the S02. A Bridgestone engineer once told me that their recommended operating temperature was 44deg F and above.
Rain and wet leaves mixed with the cold make this season even more hazardous.

Tires, I think. Either Greg's theory or that more cars are aging to the poing of wearing them.
I think Honda made some big mistakes (to get a .9g magazine number) when they customized these tires.

I'll agree with iceman, I have on occasion pushed it too much, and almost lost it, in the rain, and in the cold, but I also drive it like I stole it all the time.

Gregstevens,
I think it's the temp as well. My AVSs aren't warming up either. I constantly get slight fishtails in high rpm 1-2shifts.
Of course that is a far cry from WEBTHRASH who consistently tries to wipe out small towns.....
Webgod - I love you, man....
