I kind of find it negligent how magazines quote these outrageous times that 99% of us will not be able to achieve because it's one of those one time shots on a perfect day with perfect conditions, or not many of us are willing to toast the clutch, blow the differential, and blow a CV joint at once. What's really negligent, is how when the S2000 first came out, and for a while after, Honda was actually quoting the Motortrend 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds! For any of you guys who have had warranty claims denied due to "abuse" should really light this fire under Honda's feet, because a company simply can't claim that their vehicles do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, and 1/4 mile in 13.8, and then deny the warranty by calling it abuse. Under a regular non-abusive launch, 0-60 in about 7 seconds is more correct, and a 1/4 mile time respectively around 14.6-15.0 is more correct.

Coming From Malaysia with high ambient temperatures, I only managed just under 8 sec to 60mph using a GTECH/Pro meter. I launched at almost 6000 revs with slight wheel spin.
What do you guys think? Under-powered or lacking technique?
