Default octane boost... is it as good as outright race fuel...?

I've heard of a few people who buy that "Octane Boost" and add to every full tank of gas for their car. I tried to read up on the bottle, but it gives no stats whatsoever. Not even how potent it is... Race fuel gets expensive... and this is only about $4 a pop... so could be worth it... IF it works...

So what feedback or knowledges does anyone have on it?

Just though I'd give you a springboard on the octane boost.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. Can a $4 bottle really do the same thing as race fuel? I would think if it did, nobody would be buying the fuel.

It's probably something like Royal Purple, who knows if it really works or not.

Unless the car's ECU has been re-mapped to take advantage of racing fuel, I doubt it contributes much of anything to use race fuel. The car is designed for 91, and we can get 93 here.

I would not use race fuel extensively, as it lacks additives needed for day to day driving.

Well, I'll add to the fray. I have 10 gallons of methanol which I add in a 1 to 3 ratio to my water injection tank. Methanol has an octane rating of 118. If I added a couple of gallons to 6 or 7 gallons of 93 octane gas so I can increase my boost up to about 11 psi, would there be any other negative side effects?
