Default Oem hardtop prices has greatly increased for the last 4 years

HTs going rate is basically 1/3rd of the value of a clean titled S2000. Here on the west coast alone, they start at $4200 with or without the hardwares.

I get that. But the fact of the matter is approx 2 years ago the price range was in the 3k... and 3.5k being mint. One would think it will hit its plateau or its peak. But it doesn't appear to be.

I still seem them for $3k and that seems to generally be what they sell for unless someone is desperate and needs a very specific color that is harder to find. These ones you see listed at $4k+ may sell for that or they may sell for $3000-3500 and the sale price just doesn't get reported.

My sense is that perfect condition with hardware are selling (as opposed to being listed) at about 3k-3.5K. Anything less than perfect - less. No hardware - less.

Simple... Don't pay $4k. Keep the prices down.

I agree. Personally, I'd like to have a hardtop for the car but I refuse to pay $4000+ for one
