I've often wondered why so many owners have very low mileage cars. I've seen ads for exotics and other car makes with very low mileage (< 1000 miles/yr). I was wondering where do owners drive their cars with such low miles. I recently bought a fairly low mileage GTR and finding excuses to drive it. I will probably drive it less than 1500 miles/yr.

Got my 00 AP1 with 17k on it 4 years ago from the original owner. Just hit 30k so its not real low milage. But hey for an 18 yr old car that's not too bad. Only comes out in top down weather.

I still have the extra key in the plastic sleeve that came with the car.

My 2005 had 24K+ miles when I bought it last year and now has around 27,400 miles. Most of that additional mileage was accumulated last year right after buying the car. Health issues kept me out of the car much of this year. It was purchased primarily to be enjoyed on weekends with the top down during nice weather, so I'm not planning on racking up a whole lot of miles anytime soon. I'd guess that an accumulation of around 2K - 3K miles per year going forward until retirement would be about right. After that I'd hope to be enjoying it more often. I don't have a set goal of retaining some sort of low-mileage club status.
I figure that there will probably always be a few S2000s that will be around with really low mileage — under 10K miles and even fewer with freakishly low mileage (under 1K miles) as there already seem to be people who are looking at these as collectibles or future collectibles. As far as what constitutes "low-mileage", I'd say that it's probably more of a sliding scale as these cars continue to age. For example, if you could find a S800 with fewer than 100K miles then I'd personally consider it to be a low mileage example.

No kidding. Jeez, at the rate things are going, your car will be approaching 1 million miles about the time mine will be bumping up against 100K miles. (Start documenting your story now so that you can sell the rights to Honda.)
