I'd have to agree, There was a similar S2k in my area that was a 2008 with 60k miles going for 18k. I passed because it was listed as having Frame damage. Even though it had a clean title. Since I was going to be DD my S2k I didnt want something like that to creep up on me.

First, Thanks everybody for all of your input. I value it. Much appreciated.

There are no problems with the frame at all. I even drove behind him while he was driving it to make sure there was no crab crawling. But like I said, I inspected under it and it had no signs of any frame damage. All repairs were done by a reputable shop here.

My S2000 had a pair of accidents early in its life, and it's never been an issue. Both were driver's front corner. One is listed as an animal strike on the carfax, the other was localized to the same place.

Has anyone shown you how to check the alignment of the subframes? Search around for how to do it, but it's not difficult. Likely something you should do once you purchase. The underside of the car looks wonderful. I'd agree that it's a bit high-priced, but if you're comforable with the purchase, I say to do whatever makes you happy. Just know that a sizable number of people that are potential buyers in the future will be put off by it. If you have no issue with that, go for it.

OK, I found another car. This is a 2000 red exterior black interior with 28,000 miles. One owner and claims it is flawless. In his post it appears in great shape. No AP2 retainers yet.
He is asking $26,000. But he knows he is asking a high price and is willing to negotiate. What do you think this car would be worth?
I am checking it out in person today. Immediate costs would probably be tires since they are 20 years old, and getting the AP2 retainers in.

Not quite sure how one would get 28K out of a set of original tires on a S2000. Is the owner in a nursing home??

I am not sure if they have been replaced or not. The original owner passed away.

I paid $20K for my yellow 2001 with 16,437 miles in July 2018, for comparison purposes only. Mine did indeed have the original skins on it, so yeah your first trip is to your tire guy for new rubber.

I'm sorry to hear this. I sometimes feel I can joke about age, as the best years of driving my S2000 are undoubtedly behind me.

Are you no longer able to drive your S2000 completely pain-free? I hope I'm not prying too much but I ask because that's the only reason why the previous owner of our S2000 ended up selling. She was actually very healthy for her age, but the back and neck pain that she experienced from driving the S had just become too much for her to endure. Whatever the case may be, I hope that you are able to enjoy your S as much as possible going forward.
