Official Is This Car Worth It Thread vol 3
I emailed the guy why he has red seats and he said. They were an option from the dealer. I am not sure if you could get red seats OEM when buying the car new or not...
Also, I found a car near me that is a Rio 04 s2000. It has, 34k miles and is in good condition.
It has Megan coilovers, OEM wing, aftermarket lip, borla exhaust, enkei rims and a few other tasteful mods.
He said he would take 22k. Opinions?

"tasteful mods" is an oxymoron. I would say that 22k would have been an appropriate price if it was clean and stock.
I was lacking on getting the s2k. It was such a great price but I missed out on it. Should I stay away from high mileage cars? I was thinking about this one

Hey all, I'm looking at this car here in Nashville. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/5458647345.html
2000 MY 70k for $15,500 obo
-The buyer is the 2nd owner, first owner bought it new and it was in CA for the first part of it's life.
-It was not his daily driver, he owned for 3.5 years and bought with 50k on it. Has 70k on it now.
-All stock but K&N intake, even original stereo.
-Seats appear to have minimal wear, not much bolster wear that I can see from pics
-Hasn't had new retainers put on, he claims it's never been over-revved but how would I know without opening it up.
-Needs a new top, has several tears - is original.
-Has two small dents in passenger door from previous owners daughter dropping her bike into door.
-Owner is selling to invest in building an Exocet
-Was kept under a car cover previously, been in the elements more recently and not under a car cover because buyer knew he was selling soon. Lives in a duplex.
-Original owners manual and tonneau cover, keys, etc.
-Has changed oil only since ownership, hasn't down trans or rear end fluids. Did Mobil 1 synthetic every 3,000.
-Only issue addressed was an IAC replacement with an OEM part.
-Had local Honda deal do a thorough evaluation of the car when he purchased originally from other owner.
-Claims he didn't abuse it and it never was tracked.
-Says paint is in great shape minus some fade on the top of the mirrors only, says he bought it that way from original owner.
I'm going to have a Honda dealership or local repair shop specializing in Honda's do a once over with a compression check if the test drive checks out. I think $15.5 is very high for where this car is at, feels like if it drives right that it's worth $12.5-13.5 range. Thoughts?
I'm going to check for dampness in the trunk, check the VIN tags on all the panels, review the Carfax, paint smoothness on all panels for repaint and be sure no clutch fluid leak onto the firewall.
Anything else I should check for that I've overlooked? I'm going to be picky, so I appreciate any advice you guys have to help me be more thorough. Thanks!

I am picking up an 00' with 48k on it Saturday with oem hardtop, Volk te37s, and on tien suspension for 14k..
Let alone the cr front lip, ap2 front end, and tamon Carbon spoiler. So I truly feel that 15k for that car is high. But who knows, I may be overpaying for mine! Any info is appreciated!
