Kinda funky. I didn't really get a lot of clean laps, but somehow the weekend was really satisfying. I flatspotted a tire in the 3rd session, so I was just getting a lot of ride-alongs

I lost ABS for a while somehow. I spun (and stayed on-track) earlier in the lap exiting cotton corners. I did the usual "restart the engine to fix abs/vsa/brake lights" and kept going. Going into the Sweeper, I locked up as I turned in slightly.

I'm guessing I never had ABS after the spin. After I came off and restarted the car, the ABS/Brake/VSA lights stayed on. Afterwards, when I was leaving, the lights eventually went off; I have ABS back. Im guessing ABS probably failed the self-check after I spun and restarted, and a few more self-tests fixed it.

Also means I'm either not braking hard enough, or I'm right at the threshold of locking up, since the turn where I locked up is a trail-braking turn (at least for me... I may be braking too early still).

2:16 was my best recorded time... datalogger showed a bunch of laps ranging from 2:11 to 1:14 while I had Nam riding with me. He pointed out bunch of places where I was turning early/late, which would have helped a lot if I didn't retire early

I had the same thing happen to me. Check your brake fluid levels. My abs light came on during high speed sweepers. It turns out the fluid in the master cylinder was sloshing around and would dip below the sensor.

My fluid was pretty close to the "max" line. I did, however, get lazy and not bleed the brakes; this was the 3rd track day on the same RBF600. My pedal was feeling fine. I guess I should bleed as a precaution?

Also, is it okay to putz around town on a flatspotted tire? I won't have time to get new tires till the weekend, but if its not, I have a set of AP1 wheels I keep around as a backup.
