One of my friends told me that I can get my car weighed for free at the transportation department of my college. They have a scale which they use for their dairy department. So I decided to weigh the S2000. I had 1/4 tank of gas, I have 18" SSR Competition wheels (wheel/tire combo 1-2 pounds lighter than stock per wheel), removed windshield wipers (like 1 pounds) and spare and tools still in the trunk. Everything else was stock. The scale said 2740 pounds. I was expecting it to be 100 pounds heavier. Nobody was there when I weighed the car, so I couldn't ask someone about how accurate the scale was, but does 2740 pounds sound about right?

I weighed in at 2680 in my 2001 (with out me in it)... 1/4 tank of gas and gutted trunk....

Ok, so it sound about right. Gutting the trunk can probably save about 50 pounds.

not to sound biased, but the honda is probably the safest of the lot. wonder how much it would weigh if it had an all aluminum body like the nsx.
