Default opinion on the spoon N1 exhaust and Ti exhausts

Just got my 03 s2k and I'm having a helluva time deciding on single side exhaust systems , especially between the spoon N1 and all the other Ti single exhausts. Are all the single exhaust loud?

All of the singles are quite loud.

The Spoon N1 is a good value among other Japanese exhausts, but some may not like the look of it. It also drones quite a bit too, as expected.

Got a Spoon N1 here for quite some time. I like it a lot! Definitely needs the silencer on long trips though, which is easy enough to install in about 20 seconds total. The only outwardly-visible part of the exhaust that I think is good looking is the rim of the tip (when polished up), and the tip is smaller than you would expect, especially for all the noise it makes, which is kinda nice in a sleeper way. I got pulled over once after doing some loud acceleration, and the cop didn't even mention the exhaust, he immediately wanted to see if I had an intake.

I've own a Spoon N1 for about a year now, never put in the silencer, even for those 5 hour plus long trips!

I had a Spoon N1. Well made, light weight, adds power, but in terms of looks and (painful)droning sound levels at cruising speed it might be the worst single on the market.

Track exhaust - excellent. Street exhaust - terrible!

tek - is your S your daily driver? If so you may want to reconsider, since all singles I've heard (Spoon, JIC etc.), including mine, drone depending on rpm, and all are quite loud. If possible, attend some local S meets and listen to some of the exhausts that are available before making a decision. BTW, I have a Veilside teardrop titanium single, which is loud, light, and I like it - my S is not a daily driver, though.

I have an Amuse dual and I love it. Best mod I've made to the car so far.

thanx to all for the reply. I'll take Chiung's advice and check out some of the s2k meets and listen to some of the exhaust B4 making a decision.

I had a J's Racing single exhaust and it's really loud even though I had silence, especially very loud when using straight pipe, but looks nice, tip size is D90 and weigh 7.9kg
