Performance Driving HowTo for S2000

I did search first, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I assume there are some great posts on this site on performance driving "howto" in the S2000. Anyone have links. Otherwise is one of the expert drivers here willing to put a s2000 driving FAQ or HowTo.

I haven't seen any definitive threads on this topic, only sprinkings of post in isolated threads. That could be why your search came up short.

Three suggestions:
1. Track time
2. Track time
3. Track time
Seriously, Join the SCCA and go to every autocross, school, and event you can afford.
One hour of wheel time with an instructor is worth 10,000 internet posts.

As XViper said, the answers to your question are spread all over the place. If you visit often enough you'll eventually see every imaginable topic discussed. (Repeatedly.)

In the end though, you can only learn so much by reading. As others have said, the best way to improve your skills is seat time and quality instruction. Find an organization that puts on autocrosses in your area (SCCA, PCA, etc.) and start going to the events. After you've competed in a few autocrosses try to attend an Evolution school or other quality performance driving school.

You should be a little more specific about your question. Do you want to know about daily driving stuff, autocross, track, drift or drag? Good driving technique is good driving technique for any type of car. Learning the basics are more important than getting "S2000 specific" tips.

And taking a driving school with seat time is way better and more fun than reading about it.

Dun't crash.

Autocross it first. You'll learn a lot about the car and your ability as a driver.

It could be addictive though. You've been warned :D
