Petition & Requests for a new SCALE S2000 RC body

Hi,

Like the majority here, I am an owner and enthusiast of the Honda S2000. I am also an enthusiast of RC cars.

I would like to ask the S2ki community and its' members to please send a request to make an accurate "scale" 1:10 RC body of the Honda S2000.

FYI: Currently, there is only 1 company that makes a 1:10 RC body of the S2000 - HPI. In the past, Tamiya has also made an S2000 RC body. But, that was an "M 1/10" scale body (ie: "Mini" 1:12 scale really), which was only 160mm wide (instead of the more common 190-195mm width of a true 1:10 scale body/chassis size). Regardless, the Tamiya M-1:10 S2000 body has been discontinued for several years now anyways and is really hard to find.

As for the HPI S2000 body, everyone and anyone that's familiar with it, knows without a doubt, that it is a sub-par, highly in-accurate and very Not-in-scale with the real S2000. Especially compared to other RC companies that make nice and perfectly scale bodies.

There really needs to be a perfectly "scale" RC body of the S2000. Although usable I guess, HPI's S2000 body isn't that great (it's definitely not scale). Not anywhere as nice and "scale" as Japanese RC body companies, such as ABC, Tamiya, Yokomo, Pandora, D-Like, etc., etc.

Pandora has a page that accepts new RC body requests here. Please send in your requests:

ABC Hobby also has an email and takes new body requests (they focus on "nostalgic" classic cars.. so, it's only sooner or later until they accept that the S2k is a classic):
abc@abchobby.com

Tamiya - I doubt they'd re-release an old S2000 body. The company is too big and they usually only release brand new and newly released car models and bodies along with a new chassis as a set/kit. Yokomo - I'm not too sure. Might want to try; but, they seem like a large company as well that might be hard to contact. D-Like - I think they focus more on popular and classic drift car bodies (Nissans and Toyotas), so I doubt they'd make one of the S2k. I'm not too sure of what other companies are out there atm and on the top of my head. But, I think Pandora and ABC Hobby are our best bets.

Let's do this!
