Whenever I buy a used car, I get the oil changed ASAP. This way you know exactly when the oil was changed.

My car shutters for a brief second when I start it up again after being warmed up. Almost like it has the 'shivers'. Drives perfect though. The S2000 has all sorts of noises, ticks and shakes. Its a noisy car.

Yup. Mine does that too, but its like a 50/50. I usually tap the gas upon startup a little bit to prevent that shuttering.

Behind the radio, in the driver's side footwell.

Lots of info. Looks like a common cause is a misrouted / kinked / disconnected vacuum line. That could also explain some stumbling at idle, especially when cold.

I'd get a service manual and start tracking all those lines.

i think we're too quick to jump on the gas cap answer.... personally i drove i with the gas cap completely not tightened and the check engine light did not come on. I figure I didn't drive long enough but its pretty hard to get the check engine light because of the gas cap so id search for bigger issues before taking the easy route out.
