Poll! Black vs Chrome Lug Nuts!?!?!
I am having a hard time picking which ones I like the most. Which color do you guys like?

If you have not already purchased them, be careful with colored lug nuts.
I bought a fairly expensive set (over $100) of colored lug nuts for my S when I upgraded to SSR wheels. After a few years, they ended up fading and I put the original chrome ones back on. YMMV but just wanted to say that more expensive doesn't necessarily mean good quality or that you will be happy with how they look years later. |
Unless the wheels are black go chrome. Looks a bit "Walmart" otherwise...

I voted for and have chrome but I'm surprised I liked the black nuts in the photo. I'm not rushing out to buy any, though. I'm of the opinion that while they look good they draw attention to the the nuts and not the car itself. Not as bad as red or other color brake calipers that seem to be crying for attention. :)
The center caps in both photos are on "wrong" of course. Sure to offend everyone. :) -- Chuck |
Thank you for all the responses.

It is a matter of personal taste. Its your car. Black lug nuts, black center caps. Brakes the overload of silver in a subtle way, match with the rest of the black trim and black details. |
I have both. I change them depending on my mood. :)

I voted Chrome but its a close call. A pic showing the whole car with the black would help. I kind of like the black on the silver car. How's that for a decisive opinion...lol?

I also voted for the chrome, but after looking at the picture again, I think I prefer the black ones.

Black works with centers black.
I voted silver though. |
