I was just forwarded an article detailing performance enhancements someone in Australia did on their S2k. What was striking was the HP and Torque numbers that they quoted. They stated that they dyno'd the car at 152hp to the wheels. That is WAAAAY below what the US and Japanese spec cars have been dyno'd at. Are there any restrictions that the Ausie government could have put on the car to cause such low numbers? Check the link below:

I think it has to do with what's "Australian for Horsepower". It might be a Saturn 5 rocket booster if your beer commercials are true.;)

The link you posted has been discussed at length elsewhere in this forum. Basically, nobody trusts the results they claim. They didn't even use the same car for the before and after tests. I'd like to see the results verified with the same car by an independent arbiter. Most importantly, they use a completely different type of dyno from what is common in the USA. Results are never comparable from one chassis dyno to another - only the relative change on the same dyno.

If Australian S2000s were really something like 15% down on power you'd sure as hell know about it because they would not surge all the way to 9000rpm like they do. The official figures are the same 240bhp as the USA, and we have at least as good fuel as them (and the same rear mufflers). Nobody has been able to demonstrate any significant power gain on the S2000 with exhaust or intake changes. If it ain't broke', don't fix it!
