Default previous car

Just wonderin what y'all had before the lovely S2000. I especially would like to know who has had an RSX-S and their opinions on the car in comparison to the S2000 (power, gearing, drivability, fun factor; although i DO realize they are completely different cars). I ask this because in the near future, I plan on getting myself an S2000, but with soaring gas prices, RAIN (Seattle aaahaha), and an upcoming 55 mile commute daily this october to the UW, eeehhhh. Plus, an RSX-S was realistically the car I've wanted. But seeing so many young people (under 19 and 20) with one that they afforded on their own, an S2000 it is. But still... I saw that one post saying something like, if you need to second think an S2000, it's not for you. I realize that, but I've driven one (LKJDFLJOEPIWJFOJDS:LKJVDS AMAZING) and i WANT IT! BUt then (see reasons listed above).

Back on topic however, what's your previous car?

Put good rain tires on and you'll have no problems in the rain. At freeway speeds, ~70, the car is solid. I'm currently running Bridgestone RE750s; dry performance isn't as bad as others make it out to be either.

As for previous cars, I drove an 86 CRX DX and a 90 CRX DX.

First: 96 Accord LX Coupe
Second: 04 GTI 1.8T
Now: 02 Sebring S2K

If you get the S, just invest in a good set of tires that perform well in the rain. The RSX-S is an excellent car. I haven't personally owned one, but several of my friends have and they have 0 complaints. One has been turboed for about 20k miles with no problems at all.

I currently have both RSX-S and S2000. They are both are similar yet quite different. Engine is quieter (more refined?) in the RSX. Gear box in the RSX is softer, doesn't have the obvious "snick" as the S2K. Ride is more comfy in the RSX. With your upcoming commute, I'd go for the RSX.
