Default pulled over for illegal modification

Quite a scene that I had two weeks ago. Was driving home from a wedding banquet, decided to open up the car a little after stopping at a redlight. I accelerated aggressively (not popping clutch ... but gave the car a bit more throttle than is really needed in street conditions )

Got up to end of 1st gear, and then drove normally afterwards (so trying to not break the speed limit). Within 30 seconds or so ... a bike, a van, and a regular cop car boxed me in and pulled me over to the side of the road.

Apparently my CR wing is considered an illegal modification in where I live (Hong Kong), as the wing was never registered properly as a proper "Honda accessory" or option. 8 cops walked outta their car/bike/van and asked me to stand aside (while I was in my suit). They warned me that my car has illegal modifications (i.e. the wing). Either case, I was polite and just said the wing was an original Honda part ...

The cops let me go ... was just quite a scene to get stopped by 8 cops because of a wing (well, it was the Grand Prix weekend @ Macau, so I suppose to cops were a bit more anal about street racing, etc.)

FYI ... my car is pretty much stock except with CR parts.

Well it looks racy IMO.

And unless you are in the states, other countries will see it as foreign items.

8 cops was overkill though.

While they were doing that, few other criminals walked away free haha talking 'bout wasting resources.

I did not know there was anywhere where a wing could be considered illegal. With the exception of making the car lower, i figured any exterior modification would be alright in any part of the world.

If I had a cr the first thing I would do is break off that wing. IMO it don't belong on a street car. Some people love it, I don't.

But that is NO reason for it to be illegal.

Give me one good reason why.
