Most aftermarket spoilers are considered illegal in Australia because they have sharp edges and are dangerous for if you hit a pedestrian :/

Thats funny, I never considered a stock car to ever be deemed illegal
i guess there must have been a survey where people that were hit by cars were more likely to die by the sharp edges of a spoiler than by the impact of getting hit by a 3000 pound automobile. the volkswagen beetle being so round must have big discounts on auto insurance.

That's pretty much the reason for a spoiler like that to be illegal. However, HK has plenty of sports cars with big wings ... including 911 GT3 RSs, but then, those wings come like that from the factory and supposedly passed the inspection.

The CR / TypeS was never imported into HK via dealers. Theoretically speaking, even aftermarket calipers can be considered illegal for whatever reasons. Basically anything that's not stock, can be considered illegal in HK.

My car just looks like a CR, it's just a 2004 AP1 with CR kit + other parts ... dun have pics atm ...

But ya ... 8 cops ... was a bit funny haha

If I had a cr the first thing I would do is break off that wing. IMO it don't belong on a street car. Some people love it, I don't.

But that is NO reason for it to be illegal.

Give me one good reason why.

Technically a lot of factory sport cars would not pass bumper height laws in most US states. I know someone who got a ticket for this in his MR-2.

That is idiotic that 8 cops need to stop you for a wing on a car.
