A quick hello

Picked up an 07' a couple months ago... first S2k, first Honda for that matter.
I've been mostly dabbling with VAG cars... couple VW's and Audi's. My daily is a 12' Audi S4 which I've had since new. I've done quite a lot to it from suspension to brakes to stage 2 tuning etc.
I've been wanting to add a roadster to the garage for a couple years and had my target set on picking up a Boxster GTS or Spyder but kept coming back to looking at S2k's. After test driving one I didn't think I would be able to beat the value for what I was looking for - which was an analog 2 seater mid-engine roadster.

It didn't take me long to fall in love with it and I'm very glad I saved myself 40 or 50k and bought one of these - the P car purchase can wait.

So far she's mostly stock. I replaced the steering wheel and shift knob. OEM front under bumper. LED lights etc... Added a K&N filter and that's really it. Have spent about 20 hours in paint correction and interior detailing... The wheels had black plasti dip which looked terrible (they are all curbed and will need repair in the spring), front headlights needed polishing, side clear markers, new floor mats... etc... She is in winter storage now but in the spring will need new tires, pads, rotors, brake lines and probably a 1 inch drop. I'm hoping I can do 15mm spacers with the 1 inch drop and not need to do any fender work - I've spent a lot of time reading on this forum and some say no problem with 15mm spacers. Some say they rub. I'll be keeping the 215/245 size tires.
I want to keep it mostly stock for the time being.... Oh - I had to do the rear CV joint immediately - the previous owner said he didn't feel the vibration - musta been on crack not to have felt that...!

Here's a few pics... hopefully they load - first time post here and I'm used to adding pics right in the body...

Hello... hello..hello... (echos) Anyone there?
:tiphat:

In all seriousness - does anyone know of cyber monday deals on PSS tires? I'm guessing no but figured I'd ask.

not really cyber Monday, but I think the tire rack is currently selling at lower prices to clear out the PSS before their replacement comes out early next year.

I saw that... I was actually concerned that they would sell out because the new 4 S won't be initially offered in anything less than a 19.

If you are a Costco member, PSS are going for 135.

About 6 months ago I got my PSS's at Discount Tire. Total was about 750 installed (including certificates of replacement) + disposal plus a $70 rebate and then about 2 weeks later I found a better price at Costco and DT did a price match adjustment for me. I also told them I didn't want the certificates (they added it in without asking/telling me) so the guy let me keep them if I agreed to do half price on them. In the end I think I paid about $600 out of pocket for everything.

^^ Nice deal!
Tire Rack is selling them for $615 plus $70 mail in rebate. I can get them mounted and balanced for $120 so I'm looking at $665. I think I'll go that route given I was going to buy a few other items from them anyways.
PSS's for my S4 cost me $1200 (20's) so anything in the $600 range is a steal to me!
