The rear window on my S2K is fogged and scratched. I've used a multitude of things to clear up the fogging and scratches but to no avail.

I've heard of some members were able to replace it under warranty; what is the validity of this, and what were the steps taken to get it replaced.

I have to deal with a difficult dealer, in fact, it's the dealership that is very amicable but their service dept. is horrendous at customer service. For those of you in IL, it's Schaumburg Honda (Rohrman Honda).

When the car was bought, it already had started to scratch and fog due to the dealership used the car as a manager's car and as a demo.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thanx in advance

You can buy a new one for only $160. It might not be worth that much hassle just to avoid buying one yourself.

I have mine replaced.
I just pointed out the scrathes and they agreed to replace it.
I am also getting it replace again.
When they put it in they scratched the new one.
You might want to try Plexus or 3m stuff to get the fog out. The 3m stuff will get some of the scratches out too.

3M Cleaner, PN 39017; 3M polish, PN 39010, available from your dealer or they can order. These products work well on scratches and fogging.

Ditto on the 3M polish.
It looks like new and it's not a spray.

I use Zymol's kit that includes a scratch remover and a protectant. So far no fog or scratches, but I've only had the car a few months.

i asked my dealer to replace my window, instead they polished it with a honda metal polish and gave me a tube of the stuff. made the window clear as glass

Josh, do you have an exact product name or number on the metal polish? I think I want some.

Just try another Honda dealer!! I'm sure the Chicago-area has plenty. Any Honda dealer can do warranty work on a Honda -- so you don't have to deal with the service department where you bought your car!

Are the replacement windows the same? Seems like I heard that they might be different. thanks,
