I just used my wipers for the first time today and when its on intermittent I hear the relay clicking when it wipes. the other two notches are ok and no relay clicks from them, just the intermittent (1rst notch) is it suppose to click, does every stook do this also or is it just my car. My concern is that I never turned it on when i got the car, I just had my alarm installed and it sounds like a relay that they put in for the alarm, just wondering if other stooks are this way as well.

yes, this is normal. don't worry, everybody's relay works like this. Freaked me out the first time too, especially since it was the night I bought the car.

I was wondering about this too. Mine does the same thing.

I can live with it.

Yes, I hate this. Living in Seattle means using the intermittent wipers more than other areas. The radio will cover the click, however, sometimes you don't want the radio on. I'd like to see them address this in later models which would seem an easy to do.

I had an Accord and an Integra and now a 3.2TL, none of which had this noise.

I don't know. Car will never see rain. If it does she's got a healthy coat of Rain-X to cure any thoughts of using wipers. I should just take them off... might shave 5lb if I take out all the switches, motors & relays.

My 88 Civic didn't have this "problem", but my 95 Civic does. I don't believe my wife's 93 Prelude has the click. I suspect Honda is using some cheaper relay (that is noisey) to help cut costs.

My '99 prelude did not have this problem. Well, if it did click, it wasn't as loud as the S2k. Also, it sucks that the S2K doesn't have the different adjustment for the intermittent.
