Default Replaced Shortblock?

I am in the market for an s2000 and I came across one at a decent price.
Its an year 2000 with 67k miles. Its been kept stock and looks like its been well maintained and hasn't been tampered with.

However the one catch is that it needed the short block to be replaced at 23k because of an oil leak caused by a porous factory cast. Warranty covered the repair and seller says there has been no issues since that time.

I don't know enough in dept about cars to know if this will be a problem that will arise in the future or if its something that should drastically reduce the price of a car. I know that a cars with swapped engines usually lose their value.

Any input on this topic will be well appreciated. I just don't want to waste my hard earned money

I wouldnt think this would really matter.. if there was going to be a problem it would have come up a long time ago.

if the block was replaced i don't see any problem, now if the faulty block was repaired i would have a problem with that. if the entire engine was replaced then even better (hoping it was replaced with a newer one), it doesn't necessarily mean it drops in value but use it to your own advantage.

Yeah, I would imagine if the dealer covered it under warranty, then the engine was replaced completely. I doubt they would go through the trouble of swapping all internals from one block to the other. I don't think there would be any problem with the car. Like said above, if there was going to be a problem, it would have showed up already.

Yeah don't worry about it, if anything it's better since it has lower mileage. I had to put a new shortblock into my S because it had a scorred cylinder wall when I bought it, it has been running like a champ since then with no issues at all.
