Toyo T1S all the way. You will be amazed in the difference they make IMO. $$$

I hate advice like the kind above. It's almost as if the tire makes the driver.
Let's try this, you're fairly close. Considering I don't recall seeing you on the Speed Channel lately, I'll wager a bet that if you met me at the starting point of one of my favorite Vermont country roads and I gave you a 10- second head start despite having a quad of those "ain't sticky enough for the S2000" Kumhos, by the time I reached the end of the 9-mile journey, it would take "Q" to bring you to me.
Ain't sticky enough for the S2000 or ain't sticky enough for you?

Looking for feedback of people who have put the Toyo T1S's on their S2000 regarding cornering and stopping in wet and dry. Has anyone done g-force cornering calculation or track time measurements with them compared to OEM tires? Greatest concern: Is the S2000's handling predictable with them?

I'm also wondering if it makes financial sense to get an extra set of OEM rims, mount Toyos on them, and to keep my original tires and rims for occasional track use, changing to them at home before heading to the track. Alternatively, what would I get for a set of OEM tires without rims with 1200 fairly easy street miles from them, from an '03 that is six weeks old?

The 245/45-16 Yok ES100s for the rear are not as wide as the 225/50-16 OEM S02s. I measured the S02 tread width by running over a piece of typing paper and then mounted the ES100s and did the same. I found that the ES100s were nearly a full inch narrower than the S02s. The fronts were almost identical however. I know the TireRack lists the 245/45-16 Yoks as being wider than the OEM S02 225/50-16, but my measurements show that this is not the case.

I seriously regret buying these tires. If I did not have a stiff front swaybar for autox, the car would be much more dangerous. And, even with the swaybar the tailend is waaaay more loose in the wet than even well worn S02s.

My advice is to by the OEM S02...they are not that much more expensive than ES100s from the TireRack.
