If you do a search on this board for "replacement tires" or "oem tires" you should be able to find quite a bit of info as this has been brought up a lot. There are even a couple of threads which have pictures that show the difference in both width and tread pattern between the OEM S02 and the standard S02.

Thanks, DLQ04--those are the first numbers I've seen. I'll have to go back and search the earlier stuff, too. The threads I was referred to earlier didn't have any numbers, just qualitative info.
Thanks again! |
Glad to help.
Here's what I picked up on the 03's... I just saw you asked about them also. S03 Tires - Bridgestone S03 PP The recommended size (per forum) is 225/50 16 in front and 245/45 16 in the rear. At Tire Rack for $850. The install should included cleaning the inner rims. The tread design should do better wet conditions and Connor at Tire Rack said testing indicates about 15-20% longer tread life and Sports Car Tire (an installer) commented that acceleration and stopping distance should improve slightly. |
It seems odd to go to a wider tire in front with the S03 if the Honda S02 is actually narrower than spec (205).
I plan on going with a new set of S03 tires around June or so next year. Should give me plenty of time to get opinions of people who have tried out various combinations. |
