S2000 with 100K miles... good idea?
Hey all, search function is broken so I have to ask...
How are S2000's holding up when they reach 100K miles? I haven't read much about it in S2KI. I've found a couple of high mileage S2K's for sale for under $13K but can they last another 50K-100K miles or are they ready to blow up at this point? FYI, it would be a daily driver but I do have a back-up beater.
Thanks.....

I would pay an exter 4k and get a 02 model with 40xxx miles on it personally...But i'm sure that that engine will hold up fine for several more thousand miles if it is maintained well.

It depends on your finantial situation.
If you are going to finance the car for 3+ years, then NO.
I would not go for it. You can suck up the extra dough every month and get a lower milage example.
(50-60K is a better start to a long term relationship while still being relatively inexpensive)
If you are paying cash, and are not too pressed for money, then sure I might go for it. If you have engine troubles in the future, you can always drop in a lower milage JDM F20 or pick up a motor from a wrecked car.
Point is, if your financing the car and might be squeezed to make the monthly payment then you probably dont want to get into a 100K mile, 9K RPM car. Its not a Honda Accord/Civic, ya know?
