Default S2000 Clock--Would this work???

My guess is this idea has been examined and rejected, but here goes.

Would cutting a small rectangle out of the radio door and replacing it with clear plastic permit the clock to be viewed by both passenger and driver with the radio door closed?

If I had a clock in mine I would try it. Seems like a good idea.

i dont think cutting a radio hole in the door is as easy as it sounds, because i was looking to cut it as well to install my VAFC into it... but its hard... hard plastic...

i guess thats why they sell the pre-cut doors for $200..

it just sounds like a lot more trouble than its worth IMO

Yes, it's too hard for me not to screw up the door cutting it. I'm hoping that someone with the skills and marketing knowledge may pick up on the idea and offer it.

I think velcroing an old watch to the dash is probably the cheapest and fastest method while achieving the same objective. And it can be removed in a blink of an eye too!

The outer shell is a very soft plastic, but the inner shell is hard stuff. Since the door sits so far away form the radio face itself, the window would have to be fairly large since the angle from eyes to clock is so large. Use a dremel with a cutoff disc, medium speed, and a high-tooth-count file or fine-grit sandpaper to finish up the cut. I've installed a couple of VAFCs in the door that way, and it looks nice.
