S2000 Focus Group
I got called to attend a focus group on August 5th. It's supposed to be about the S2000. Has anyone else been called in to attend one of these regarding the S?

This one is on the 7th. I haven't been called. |
Not sure if this is the same thing, but Honda Japan called me to say they are re-desiging the S2000 and would I let them know what I thought they should do for the new model.
I think they've also done this in the US (not sure about UK, other countries) , so perhaps this isn't such hot news. BTW, the reason they called me is because my dealer is the #1 s2000 sales person in japan, and he was kind enough to give them my number. |
Are you in Japan, Red One?
|
yep, sitting here in Yokohama having my morning cup of tea....

Ah, well, I'm sure this is a different situation when you get this kind of a thing in Japan. Hell yeah, I'd go for it if I were you. But, I don't speak Japanese. :)

my Japanese skills are pretty poor! the guy from Honda lived overseas and spoke good English.
Unfortunately, i don't think I'm going to be invited to any design meetings or test drives - I just had a quick phone conversation with him and said a few things that I thought Honda should look into for the next model. It was more like market research than anything else but, if Honda-san wants to invite me to suzuka to test drive the new model... well, i'll definitely go! |
I just got back from a Marketing Research discussion held in Santa Monica, CA. I got an invitation via email last Wednesday. It was for S2000 owners, and there were about 9 people who attended. It was supposed to last 2 hours and we were supposed to talk about our experience with the car. Not enough people showed up, so six were chosen to go to another room and talk about the car. Three of us just sat and chatted in the lobby for about 45 minutes, then the people in charge said we could leave. The honorarium for spending my time there: $300!! I could get used to this kind of a deal!

Now I feel real dumb for not attending. |
I was there this morning too. They chose 6 people and there were only 2 of us left out and we each got 150.
