Default S2000 gauge cousins

Guess we're not the only ones with an F1 inspired gauge cluster.

1988 VW GTI

1986 Nissan Z

it appears as though the Z has more features than us as well!

I still think ours looks the best by far, but I certainly appreciate the extra information provided by the Z's display. I sometimes wish our cars gave a little more info on the cluster. Oil temperature would be a fantastic place to start.

that cluster in the Mk2 VWs is called digifiz.. it was an option in europe only, and now they are "collectors" items, and you have to pay the premium.

I love this with the color swap

Digital clusters around in the 80s, but I believe they faded in popularity due to their lack of quality. Several American brands had them also.. ford, gm.. AFAIK. That VW really does have an uncanny resemblance though..

Even hyundai and kias had digital gauges back in late 80s.

It was very popluar and very $$ options for many cars in Asia & Europe.

There is also a late 80s audi that had a digital gauge cluster.
