Default S2000 for Long Distance Trips?

Hi,

Has anyone traveled long distance riding our S2000s?
Was the ride comfortable?

I know our cars are roasters not suburbans

I'll let you know in a few weeks.

Next week I'm driving over a 1000K's to the Gold Coast for Indy. Just had a cruise control fitted to make it a little more bearable.

For you "youngun's" who've just gotten your car and want to go on long trips; remember to remove wallets etc. from you rear pockets, otherwise your leg (right or left) is likely to go to sleep --- even if you have cruise control on.

My wild guess is that you will be picking your new car from outer state?

You will thank the cruise control feature, but nothing really much after taht
the long trip may be little tiresome to your ear and your mind because top gear cruising 65-80 is riding quite high on the rev range compare to most cars. Actually it isn't so bad cause you will in some time get use to it.
Also if you are tall or oversized, your leg(knee area) may cramp up since the width of leg space is narrow(narrower than passenger side).

6000 miles, 11 states, two weeks. No problems, although it's more comfortable as the driver than as the passenger for some reason. Aside from the space to store stuff (esp. in the passenger compartment), it was just as comfy as my old Honda Civic was when I did a 2000 mile trip four years ago.

The recommendation about removing stuff from your rear-pockets is very important! No one likes a wallet-sized indentation in their rear ... =)

Hi there

1200 km in 8 hours without cruise control was quite OK, the first time I did it, I even rated the seats better than the ones in my Mercedes E500.

I completely agree, when you're driving for that long of a time, you want to make sure that your A$$ is as even and symmetrical as possible. This will ensure that the downforce of your body's mass will be distributed as evenly and equally as possible to each of your A$$ cheeks, ensuring the most comfortable ride possible.

Yes, I'm talking about of my A$$, but some of it makes sense right?
